Considerando Matera come frutto di un processo spontaneo, viene tirata una linea che unisce i fossili incastonati nella roccia calcarenitica e le diverse specificità naturali del corpo materano con gli affreschi di cui sono impregnate le chiese rupestri e le forme nelle quali l’uomo ha modellato il proprio habitat nel corso dei secoli.

Considering Matera in the same way as the result of a spontaneous process, a line is drawn to bring together the fossils embedded in the calcarenitic rock and the different natural peculiarity of the materan body with the rock churches impregnated with frescoes and the shapes that the men have given to their habitat along the centuries.
